A mix specially created (and played live with contemporary concept visuals centered on riots/ police brutality etc by Gina Carpenter) at the Blackout arts and film tent at Ashton Court Festival in Bristol around about 2001. Haven't got tracklist but its ragga / drum and bass / samples based mix..wish I could show the visuals too coz they made the whole thing really powerful and the tent was half empty when we began our set... by the end of it, the joint was JUMPIN !!! it sure was BADASS! Mr Hopkinson ( of Mr Hopkinsons computer / Beardyman ) even joined the act , by cordonning off the stage with a Police Crime Scene tape whilst dressed in a white forensics jumpsuit !

A random selection of quality B sides off 45's in my collection. I never listen to the Bsides, but today I thought I would, and it was great! played in no particular order ( straight off the shelf, in whatever order they came out!), but in general of the Jazz, ska, soul, hop, brazilian variety. ENJOY!!

This mix successfully secured me a place on the Red Bull Music Academy to Sao Paulo Brazil in 2002!! "Huzzah!"
Its tracklist is eclectic and worldly and too many to remember but starts with Herb Alperts Spanish Flea and goes through some wierd electronica, some hip hop, like Fingathing and stuff with even a bit of ACTUAL scratching skills by yours truly - yes honestly, and sambas about in a Brazilian style for a bit then the drumblybass appears with Photek, then skitzing you out in an eastern European Bogdan Raczinski Rephlex sorta way and then it kind of gets split into two halves where it calms down a bit with a bit of help from Mum, the Icelandic chill factor..which somehow is segued into some housey electro towards the end featuring many tunes I cant remember but i have the tracklist somewhere..and of course it ends with Matthew Herbert..god of UK deep house. enjoy
